Q&A
What is it?
A room full of things to smash. Tap a thing until it breaks, then the next, until the room is clear. Then it asks how that felt, and keeps your answer and your time on a scoreboard on your phone.
Is it a game?
Not really. There are no levels, no points and no goal but the empty room. Nor is it therapy. It is entertainment for a moment when you need one.
Does anybody get hurt?
No. People in the rooms cheer, run or watch, but they are never hit: a tap on a person goes through to whatever is behind them. The office cat can only ever be petted.
What does it cost?
The app is free, with one room, The Monday Office, free for good. One payment unlocks everything else, now and later: the other rooms, the hammer, the bat and the crowbar, the office cat, Write it, smash it, and Night shift. There is no subscription and no second purchase. Google Play shows the price for your country before you buy.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. Each extra room can be played once for free, from its card on the start screen. The hammer, the bat, the crowbar and the office cat each come by once on their own. Write it, smash it, and Night shift each have one free go, too.
How do I restore the purchase, or get a refund?
Restore a purchase. On a new device, or after you install the app again: sign in to the same Google account that bought “Unlock everything”, open the app, and choose restore on the screen where you bought it. The store remembers what you bought.
Ask for a refund. Refunds go through the store that took the payment:
- Google Play: Google Play's refund page
After a refund, the app locks the item again. What you made with it stays, and comes back if you buy it again.
Does it need internet?
No. Everything runs on your phone. The only time the internet is used is for buying, and that goes through Google Play, not through us.
Does it collect anything about me?
No. No account, no analytics, no crash reports, no tracking. Nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy.
Can I swipe instead of tapping?
Yes. Turn on Swipe to destroy in Settings, then drag a finger across the room: everything it crosses takes a hit.
Is it loud?
Every hit makes a sound, made by code on your phone. It plays over your music and never stops it. You can turn the sound and the vibration off in Settings.
Too much moving around?
Tharis follows your phone's setting to remove animations. With it on, the room keeps still around you: nobody cheers or runs, and nothing drifts or blinks. Only the smashing itself stays, because that is the app. No thing ever flashes more than three times a second.
How do I wipe my scoreboard?
Open Settings in the app, then Privacy, and choose Clear all data. It removes every session and setting, and it cannot be undone. What you bought stays.
Which phones?
Android phones, on Google Play. An iPhone version, on the App Store, may come later.
